Chapter 1 ✨

At Anya’s House

Birds were chirping happily, welcoming a new morning and a new beginning. The golden sunlight slowly filled the room, as if the world was ready for something special to happen. ☀️🐦

And there, peacefully sleeping, was our female lead — Anya Yadav. She was enjoying her beauty sleep, wrapped comfortably in her cozy blanket.

But sadly… her peaceful sleep didn’t last long.

Suddenly —

“Tring… Tring… Tring…” ⏰

The loud sound of the alarm disturbed her sweet dreams.

“Ufff yaar… itni jaldi subah ho gayi? Abhi toh soyi thi… yeh subah itni jaldi kyun aa jaati hai…” she murmured sleepily, covering her face with the pillow.

Just then, her mother’s voice echoed from outside the room.

“Anya uth jao! Aaj office ka pehla din hai aur pehle hi din late ho jaogi kya?”

Anya groaned dramatically.

“Aayi maa…”

Even though she didn’t want to wake up, she had to. Slowly she got up from her warm, comfortable bed and stretched lazily

.

After getting ready, she walked into the hall where her mother was already panicking and rushing around the house.

Her mother muttered worriedly,

“Hey bhagwan pata nahi kab akal aayegi iss ladki ko… pehle hi din late ho gayi toh?”

Anya sighed and tried to calm her down.

“Yaar mumma, I’m here. Stop panicking.”

Her mother immediately replied,

“Haan haan, aa gayi maharani. Jaldi karo aur breakfast karo.”

Anya quickly finished her breakfast while her mother lovingly blessed her.

“Meri bacchi… tera aaj ka din bahut achha jaaye.” 🤍

Her mother hugged her warmly before she left.

Anya smiled and rushed out of the house.

“Bhago beta bhago… warna kya muh dikhayegi!” she joked to herself while running. 😅

After many efforts and a lot of rushing, she finally reached the office on time.

Her HR introduced her to everyone and showed her desk. Everyone seemed quite nice, and soon she started working.

Lunch Time (At Anya’s Office)

During lunch break, Anya sat alone in the cafeteria. She quietly sipped her coffee, looking around awkwardly.

She didn’t know anyone there.

Just then, a girl approached her with a bright smile.

“Hi Anya! You remember me? Our HR introduced us in the morning.”

Anya looked up and smiled politely.

“Yeah… I remember.”

“By the way, what are you having?” the girl asked.

Anya shrugged lightly.

“Just coffee.”

“Why only coffee?”

“I’m not feeling very hungry.”

The girl chuckled softly.

“Hmm… looks like you’re new here and don’t have many friends. Can we be friends?”

She said cheerfully.

Her name was Aadhya.

Anya hesitated for a moment… but then nodded her head.

“Sure.”

Aadhya smiled widely.

“So dear friend, what are your plans after work?”

Anya replied simply

,

“Umm… I’ll go home.”

Aadhya raised her eyebrows playfully.

“Don’t you like shopping and all?”

Anya shook her head.

“I’m not very fond of shopping.”

“Woah… that’s surprising! Being a girl and not liking shopping?”

Anya smiled lightly.

“I just don’t like roaming in crowded places.”

Aadhya laughed.

“Okay okay… but you’re my new friend now. As a friend, you should come shopping with me!”

Anya sighed but smiled.

“I’ll try to come with you.”

Aadhya winked cutely.

“What ‘try’? You’re free, so why not? Pleaseee!”

Anya chuckled softly.

“Okay… I’ll tell you after talking to my mom.”

Aadhya clapped happily.

“Yay! Also, we don’t have each other’s contact numbers. Let’s share them.”

They exchanged their contact details.

Suddenly, the whole cafeteria became strangely quiet. Everyone seemed to sit properly and stop talking.

Anya looked around, confused.

“What’s happening? Why did everyone suddenly become quiet?”

Aadhya smiled excitedly and whispered dramatically,

“Because our khadoos but very handsome boss is coming.” 😏

Anya frowned slightly.

“Huh? Khadoos… but handsome?”

Aadhya nodded eagerly.

“Yes! He’s very strict… but also very handsome.”

“Look… he’s coming.”

Anya slowly turned her head towards the entrance.

And suddenly…

Her breath got stuck as she saw the man walking in. 💫
